disappointing delivery from mac1

I feel annoyed so thought I'd enlighten everyone as to my annoyance.

I rang up mac1 last friday(20th) and ordered 2 pairs of harnesses (1 for me, 1 for a friend) with harness pads. I got a good price and was told they shuld be sent out that afternoon even though I placed the order at 4pm ish. I was told next day delivery, should be monday or tuesday latest.

Wednesday, when they had not arrived I decided to give them a ring. They told me they'd had a film crew round or something and for some reason the belts hadn't been sent 'til tuesday morning, they should arrive today or tomorrow (weds/thurs). call them back tomorrow if not arrived.

Called back thursday when they hadn't arrived, told again they should've arrived, they were posted tuesday and to call back tomorrow if no show.

The harnesses finally arrived this morning, 1 week (7 days) after being ordered. what annoyed me more is the date on the parcel was the 25th (weds). I wonder whether they had forgotten completely and fobbed me off and mailed them out on the weds after i chased them up.

Either that or they sent them on a slow cheaper delivery because they said they'd waive the delivery charge to give me a good price.

Yours, now with 4 point harnesses,

Ned.

beware, I've got yellow skin

I've ordered some various bits of kit from Mac 1 and they have been really helpful on the phone and pretty promt with sending out parts they have in stock---with not in stocks to follow.

The real test comes when something goes wrong !! I had some sealed beam units which were faulty. I sent them back to MAC1 and was sent new units pronto with apologies and I felt that they really wanted to help.

All suppliers seem to have the odd bad day, my own being with MK--yes honest.!

On the whole most of these companies provide a pretty good service, especially when you consider they are small oufits trying to cater for cheapscates like most of us

I've bought from MAC1 and had no probs,at least you have the goods.

Dont forget sometimes parcel farce(who delivered my bits) are not the most reliable of carriers.

And yes they did have a film crew up there, saw them on the TV myself.
It was Working Lunch BBC2 something to do with a european grant they recieved and advice on exporting there products.

Considering they are another company making MK indy copies they dont seem to be doing to badly.

I run the sales office for a european wide distrobution company and carriers do sometimes drop you in the shite and we have also forgotten to send stuff out and have fobbed the odd customer off, only for one day not 3 or 4 though as in Ned's case.

Best thing to do is as them for the name of the carrier company it was sent with and for the consignment note number ..................if it hasnt been sent they wont have one! i learnt that one by being on the receiving end of it some years ago!
