First Drive!
Woop woop!! The day's finally arrived. I came home to a brown envelope from Manchester with my tax disc and reg number I rushed out to the
shop and got my plates, I was shaking nearly, then stuck the back one on (the front can wait) drove car to top of drive and.........no brakes!
Where've they gone? Anyhow a quick bleed and all sorted. Got my helmet on and left the street with a few of the neighbours watching. I did
alright up to the main road and managed to skip through the roundabout but the traffic was building up. Down the road a couple of miles to the
roundabout and set off back. The roads a bit more worn on this side (HGV's) and I think I've the wrong springs on the back as I was out of
my seat a few time. The steering was wandering slightly and I ended up stuck in the traffic and stalling it an obscene amount of times. Once when
there was a chav at the side just grinning at me The clutch seems a bit sticky when it's coming out, probably the cable but anyway, 3
years later from collecting a load of steel on a roof rack I'm now whipping it around at 50mph! Cheers to all along the way, still got a bit
further to go I think!

Have you got floor mounted pedals, if so a residual pressure valve will sort that out (ral design do them)

Cheers Darren. I'll have to look into that. Don't want to be bleeding them every time I go out. I might just nip out again later but when
the traffics gone so I don't have to keep stalling, sorry stopping and messing with the gears. Definitely need to look at the suspension though.

Razman had the same problem with his aeon. I think as long as the fluid tank is much higher than the caliper the fluid will not flow back from the
caliper.

Who? Where? Shh. You takes your risks and all that. Besides it'll be sorted tomorrow.
I've just been out to my brothers, not too far away, I'm not that trusting of it yet and I'm getting the hang of the clutch just a
little more.
No Newark for me I'm afraid, I've got other arrangements and I was badly disappointed with it last year.
Darren thanks for the advice. Its only happening now I've changed to a Fiesta MC, I'll get one of them valves as the reservoir is about
level with the calipers just.
Andy, you'll get there eventually. I was lucky in that it's not raining too! I've had loads of stares and people shouting and
pointing now.
Fozz, thanks for the smilies
I'm having a beer now

Cheers fellas.
Caleed is not much more useful than a button on a sock! Only works 3 days, 1 of which is spent sat at Chadderton where you can't get him and he
lost my paperwork! Seems to get unduly stressed at everything but I'm there now anyhow

Just tried another drive and noticed that the accelerator cable nipple had slipped so fixed it and wow! It revved up and flew Setting off without
stalling was easier though I still did and got called a sh1t driver by a fat drunk!
