I was till I saw the average cost of build at this link >>> http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/kitcar/kitcar_details.php?88
I think i'll stick to humble locost Ron Champion style with lots of stainless steel & matching alloys. However the cat e1 wallpaper on Tiger Racing's site would be my utimate dream project. Link to that >>> http://www.tigerracing.com/wallpaper.htm

sort of.....

it started life as a second hand MK1 Cat E1 chassis and a pile of damaged bodywork (very cheap second hand buy - someone elses failed project) and is now nearly complete but with many deviations from the original Tiger design (Zetec engine and XR4 x 4 rear end for a start !! ). Even has a fully braced MK roll bar and MK fibreglass R500 seats fitted !!.

Prefer to class it as a "Tiger lococat" now

As you may be aware the build manual is good for nothing, the tiger workshop people can be very helpful but tend to advise you to "do what works".

In retrospect I wish I had built a full Locost, but only because I could have done everything my way from the start and not have to adapt someone elses work to my ideas.

Perhaps for my next project (looks over shoulder to check misses isn't reading this !!!) a .... Haybusa powered locost ? or even a DAX Rush style V8 locost ?

who knows, just want this one on the road for the summer.
