scootz - while the engine is out, check out the offisde engine mount. They have a habit of cracking around the point where it passes through the
angled panel, and mine had cracked away from the bottom panel too.
This is more common on older chassis, newer ones have more welding around the top pass through and are not so prone.

Cheers Ian... once I've got the rest of the bodywork off I'll be giving it a good scrub and inspection! I was actually a little worried
about the nearside one as when I was craning the engine out the bracket got stuck on the threaded insert and required a bit of 'force' to
get it off!

did you have to take the front shock mounting bracket malarky out to get the boat anchor out?

I did... removed both shocks to get the nosecone off.
Think I will cut the shock-holes in the nosecone so they come right down to the chassis... will make bodywork removal a lot easier.
