Files pool?

Has anyone ever sugested a "Files" archive that could have nothing but drawings/plans, charts/tables and downloads that people could submit and use. One could deal with suspensions another for chasis ect. This is far and away the best site/forums on the subject.I would'nt be any where near as far along on my project without the discussions and eager help from the experienced people found only here. But the only thing that seems to be missing is a comprehencive source for all the visual info. Imagine a community downloads section, is it possible? Just a thought...

would the wiki have had trouble with viruses? heres one example of it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

this format would work wonders, just need knowledgeable contributors and some sort of peer review to screen it.
