First Drive!!
got the beast on the road today, drove it to my new house! more fun than i thought it was possible to have alone.
plus, it all worked ok, except the sparks from where the altenator was cutting thru the steering column. nearly got all the way thru too...
still, that makes all the crap worth it, just a spot of bodywork (custom bonnet and 'boot') and it will be ready for the SVA man to
laugh at!

Sounds like me when I drive my V.W. bus.
Fletch,
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy...

it was only about a 20min walk back, so no more than two miles. got a good blast down a 40 road, but i couldnt see anything over 30 odd mph, cos no
helmet... car wandered a bit on straights, but the tracking was only done by eye so perfection wasnt expected.
just need to get the sva passed so i can do it legally!

Isn't that FUN!!!!? Yes, yes it is! LOL
Alan B and I did that with mine not too long ago (just around the block, too scared to drive on a public road in the city) and the feeling is still
fresh in my mind. You must be very upbeat about the project at this stage!
Very very cool Joel! Congratulations!

You've inspired me to go out and work on mine. You're right, a little bit at a time and it will eventually get done.

Well done mate.
You´ve inspired me to be annoyed that I´m here in Barcelona and not able to work on mine!
