Have I made the wrong wheel choice??

New wheels have arrived.... I was going to use the donor wheels as I liked the deep dish look. However due to a great offer and the fact the wheels needed recon and new rubber I got a set of OZ ultraleggera with toyo T1-R's. 17" as the offer only applied to the one set at a bloody good price. Yes I might be 0.5 seconds slower on track but hey!

Just not sure if i'm sold on them in the flesh.... are they a little too bling?

Personally I wouldn't have 17's, but that said, they do look nice!

the 17" are only 7.5ish kg's. I know 17" aren't everyones choice but it was down to cost and I wasn't sure 15" would go over the brakes at the rear.

I have 17s one mine and i think they are ok, the difference in performance wont be really noticeable either.
By the way, the wheels look great.

I'm not worried about the tiny fractions of a second smaller wheels would save me. These are lighter than most 15" wheels.

I'm now sold on them, a good 45 minutes staring at them has done it! The finish is top notch.

There not too big either Functional is what i'd say. I'll enjoy the 1" extra ground clearance.

17 is not big
if i went any smaller on my viento i would drag it along the ground

plus you can get MUCH bigger tyre choice and much more width

If it was mostly for track then I wouldn't have gone so big but they look good and look fairly easy to clean which is always a consideration for me!
