Identify this old kit car 1970s?
Hi all,
A friend of mine spotted this old car and wanted to know more. I dont know much about old non ford cars especially old kit cars.
He was told it is dated 1970's and is an old kit car or prototype of some sort. Anybody got any info on it I can pass on?
Are these popular? I have never seen anything like this except the real deal cars from the 30's this is trying to immitate.
Thanks for any help

Sorry don't know what the car is but the owner will be easy enough to spot, he'll be the one with the burnt right elbow
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Looks to me like a rough attempt at a JC Midge which was my first build. If it is then it was designed not by the original JC but by John
Cowperthwaite who also designed the Locust. It could be built on a modified Herald, Spitfire or in my case Vitesse chassis with ply and alloy body or
on a ladder frame chassis with Ford running gear. There are some absolutely stunning versions of the Midge around. The rights to the design then went
to T&J of Rotherham then White Rose Vehicles of Gillingham. Not sure what has happened since.
There agin, I may be totally wrong and its not a Midge!!!!

I think it may be for sale.
How much do you think it is worth?
It looks like a lot of car.

Not a Midge, as it doesn't have doors. I'd love it!

It doesnt have to have doors to be a Midge. Its all up to the builder. The plans were a guide, not always to be followed to the letter.
