KitCarDirect

Has anyone had any experience or dealings with KitCarDirect (http://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/)

I've not heard of them and just wanted to make sure before I go ordering stuff

Not spent much time looking but there doesn't seem to be an address anywhere on the site.

As above, looks like Barkalarr on here from items available and his location.... although Braintree phone code is 01376 and number on the site has the prefix 0203 (although there could be a number o reasons for this).

It would be good thing (for me anyway) if you were to post the result of an order, beit positive, unsure, or negative.
If you do that, then we'll all know all is well.

Domain registration address (if real and/or current.... not an ex-tenanted, repossessed, random, etc....) at least gives you a shot at a contact point with the guy if he proves not to be genuine.

I wouldn't be too worried as you can pay with paypal so have some protection, By all accounts Darren is not involved with GTS anymore.

Sorry hijack the thread but do we know this to be true?

the GTS web site is still there. Granted it says under new management but there is no info at all about who you would be dealing with or where they are located - oh there is a gmail address.....

Thanks for all the help guys

Got to double check measurements then I'll be putting an order in.
They have some nice looking kit on the website and I thought it was strange that they had never been mentioned before (even by using the esteemed locostbuilders search facility)

I've removed the "other" company name in my original post as it seems hardly fair that it would be included in the first mention of his website on locostbuilders

As mentioned above its Barkalarr on here and it's a new company that he has started up.

I bought a couple of carbon fibre vents of them and have also exchanged many emails and a couple of phone calls. Never had a problem and would recommend him, seems like a nice chap!

Well I'm still freinds with him on facebook and there it says he used to work for GTS and he's now living in London.

Every one seems to forget

Every one seems to be over looking the manufacturer of all the full kits available MK indy's. Dash panels, Naca Ducts, Seats that every one keeps selling on here I delt with the manufacturer about 2 years ago on ebay. I collected a pair of seats in person and the work was impressive. I cant imagine why every one keeps this company such a big secret and just use it for there own gain. It was a shed load cheaper than Mk for anything carbon or in Glass fiber give RS Mouldings a call after all they make it, There are to people there Mary and Richard I Delt with Mary she was very pleasent her number is 07908103278

Marketing is such a large part of a business, yet it is something that most of us, as business people, get extremely stressed about and don't do adequately. It's hard to find people who know your business, who don't have anything else to gain, that can help.

Just a quick update!
Carbon dash panel from Neil was excellent quality and arrived far quicker than I was ready to fit it. I've only just had the heart to start cutting it
I also ordered (and gratefully received today) a set of very shiny Protech shocks and springs that were a great deal!
Many thanks to Neil (barkalarr)

No connection with me, I'm just a very satisfied customer
