Temporary garage advice
Thanks to the arrival of my daughter, I need to buy a new, bigger house... I'm considering a place with no garage, but with room for a big
detached double garage to be built, where the 7 and a workshop would one day live.
So far so good, but I couldn't afford to build the garage immediately - however, the mortgage could easily stretch to installing a large shed to
tide me over for a few years.
Anyone got experience with using a shed or similar as a garage for a 7? Pros and cons?

I custom built a large shed at my last house which worked well. The based was just slabs laid on sand.
I've recently bought a pre-fab wooden garage from ebay to use as an office which was quite cheap - about £1100 delivered.
This would make a decent garage for a kit and is plenty big enough.

The pro's for me were price and ease of construction. Cons are less security than a concrete or brick garage.

I would have thought a wooden shed would be ok but it could end up costing a fair bit of cash which could have gone towards the proper garage...

Large wooden shed for years on concrete base, suffered condensation and very hard to heat, condensation not bad but expect some surface rust on tools
etc.
Shed was 4m x 4m perfect fit for locost on trailer

I use a car port, with a house on one side gates front and rear, and a fence down one side. It is at least dry and but no good to try and heat.

I would expect a condensation issue with all that cold metal and no insulation at all, woods' probably better in that respect.
Not sure if a shipping container is big enough? An second-hand insulated one would be secure and very quick to sort out, only snag will be looks, wood
may be the better option.. Also 8ft wide so should be wide enough; length up-to 40ft...
