Everyone loves a rolling road video!

I had my car on the rollers today for the first time in my ownership. After an engine strip down, head rebuild and skim, check and reseal I thought the wise thing to do was stick it on the rollers and get it set up properly. It's running an omex ignition setup and mapping is beyond me. A phone call to a local company, Saxon Motorsport, that used to run formula fords and now run an endurance racing team, they were happy to do it and with their FF experience, they know there way round a Xflow.

It performed very well for what is an old engine. Apart from a leak from the rear crank seal all was good and now runs sweeter than it ever has before.

They have a good, professional setup with a soundproof room, big screen on the wall so you can see what's happening for yourself and the chap, John, who set up my car was great. Very nice guy and was happy to answer my questions and tell me exactly what was going on. Very enthusiastic too which is always a good sign when someone is dealing with your pride and joy.

All in all we did 12 runs, he fettled with the mapping and from the first, to the last run we gained 12bhp. I'd imagine that's no mean feat on an old lump like mine.

I would highly recommend these guys if you are around these parts. Not the cheapest around I grant you but seemingly very good nonetheless. Only being 20 miles from me helped as Well!

He reckons I have a very good engine. Very strong and consistent which was nice to hear. There is also a fair bit more power to be had if we were to play with the cam timing but I'm not chasing numbers. He also recommended to leave it be as its spot on as it is. We even turned the Rev limit down! It does sound ace if I do say so myself!

Oh and a little note for you Bec chaps, they have the software to map the standard 08 hayabusa and most of the FI gsxr ecu's. So no need for a power commander.
