Surrey Dave build website back online!!!
Have just put my old build diary website back online, my car was finished in 2000 after 14 months building from scratch, it was sold in 2014.
I was here at the beginning with Bob, Theconrodkid, SteveM, Hicost, Jasper, Humbug, GeoffT etc.
My build website maybe of interest to builders now.

Looks like a lovely car. Do you regret selling it ?
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Have I Missed It
Took me about 4 yrs and a few disappointed people, to be able to part with it!
No I haven't missed it, our roads in the south east are just to busy and bumpy to enjoy it!
Although I had a slight twinge when I put the website back up , and thought , nice!!!

Got mine on the road 6 years after Dave, one year before my 3rd child was born. She won't let me sell it and has made me promise a track day
when she's old enough so I guess I have a few more years of ownership.

I took Dave out in my 7, around 1999/2000 before he was on the road, think he was a bit frightened !!!
We had a few get togethers, at localish events, and Daves car was nice, (not as good as mine though )
But once he sold up, like Bob, and Conrod, it wasn't the same any more
However, mine is still on the road, well, was, until last week, when the mot an insurance ran out, and ive only done 200 ish miles this year, due
work, and too many other excuses
But next year, plan on at least 3000 miles, as I will be retired

SteveM - yes we always think ours is best :-), but you can see the similarity and inspiration I got from yours, and yes I think I was scared of losing
an eye!!!!, you didn't have a screen at that time.........
Bluemoon - Thanks for the nice comments
SJ - I took mine to Brands Hatch once ( *issing of rain), for a track day and it really surprised me it was far better than I thought i t would be,
nice and smooth and nothing coming the other way. I recommend it. The car really felt at home on there.

I started on TOL and joined here quite early on. Car's been on the road 15 years, a couple of crashes, 6 different engines, still gets ragged
about 6 months of the year. It's looking a grotty recently and we keep talking about a new chassis etc. no plans to sell. Although it's
getting more and more difficult to get in and out as the years tick by
