can anyone recomend a cheap/good quality kit etc for 1st build
can anyone recomend a cheap/good quality kit etc for 1st build
as title really, i have a shop full of bits and have wanted to build a kit for near 5 years now but never had the time or space before! now i've
got time on my hands and the space to do it.
years ago ti looked at the robin hood kits and they seemed good value but i suppose now theres other kits etc available i dont know about and would
like some assistance!
i dont want anything that requires me to weld my own chassis (i did buy the book some years back), as welding is not exactly my forte in life-all the
times i tried you could pull the pieces of metal apart again.

Mk Indy, MNR Vortx, GTS, MAC#1 etc are all pretty good.
I personally (and I suspect most members here would run a mile to get away from a R***n H**d)
It seems the Tiger Avon may be a little harder to build judging by the posts on here.
I guess your choice should depend on what you want to do with it after you've built it and how you get on with the manufacturer.
If I was building again I would build an MNR as I live very close and I am starting to enter into motorsport (MArc knows a lot about this!)
Good luck and you will find the answers to most of your questions here
Cheers

I'd agree with Mark and in the same order,
MK indy being a little closer to my heart seeing as I have one and know the gang.
The good thing about all the people Mark quoted is that the bodywork and fittings have come a long way in the last 3 years making them all much easier
to finish to a very high standard.
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

Im building a Mac1ZR, going together very well.
My uncle built one of the ones whose name is linked to Sherw**d f*rrest and he advised me not to. Lots of trouble.
Dont just look at initial price. Total cost (inc tw4t factor) is something else.

I'd agree - MNR, MK or GTS - all very similar if you look at the whole package/price - go for whichever is nearest and easiest to get to!
