Owners club?
Whats happened with the owners club? I know that Bob organises space at shows, but who is the best person to speak to about joining?
Now i am near to finishing i would like to join as it now seems like i actually own an indy, not just a load of metal and orange plastic!

The MK Owners club is no more i'm afraid. We had loads of members for the 1st year because it was free then the 2nd year hardly anyone re joined
and then i sold my Indy so it all kinda collapsed.

I reckon it's worth having a go at getting it up and running again.
Bob and I have been talking about doing a more social type thing at the shows by having a marquee and sorting food and BBQ's.
What do others think?
Also if you had to pay say a fiver to join would people still join?
Rich.

Well you can count me in!
If the rest of the country shows little interest, perhaps a Southern club could get going. (well 2 of us at least!!)
Be interesting to see the reaction from others.
Cheers

if ya wanna do things on the cheap you can arrange stickers / banners with online sticker companys, who then advertise the sticker online, then the
ownus is on us to buy the sticker to advertise the fact we are in the club
though if you ask me locost builders is pratically an owners club

Nice to see Mk ers are keen to get a club back on track
I've just booked space at the Harrogate show for at least 20 cars, sadly i cant make this one due to work. I am free to attend the Totalkitcar
weekend at Brands september 17/18th so maybe anyone interested in running helping or organising a proper club could meet up there for a chat.
I'm not sure an annual fee is needed straight away as we can newsletter on here, chrisw has said he will allways help in any way to assist on the
forum too.
A proper club and registration would give us discounted insurance as we all know so it is worth the effort just for that.

It might be an idea to go north and south areas,i've seen other clubs do this as events are wide and far.
But a load of us can get together at some point(shows) and have a chat i'm sure.
I'm not interested in track days but i'm sure someone will want to organise that one.

How about having a Locost Sevens Owners club or some other generic name if Cateringvan get stupid about the use of the number seven. There are single
figure numbers of MNR, a few GTS, many more Luego, MK, Tiger and some others that use this forum. Some of the makes have too few cars or builders to
have a viable club and others, MK included have had clubs that have folded for various reasons so why not be inclusive. The more people you have as
potential members the bigger the pool to draw officers from and the more cars likely to turn up at the shows.

Locost Builders Club
Surely the clue's in the name - it's not like we'd need to set up a club website.
Count me in.

I'm sorry but i'm only really going to bother if the MK owners club can get going again, other clubs like locost car club are already
running and good to work along with but i think MK ers are just looking for one make club.

I reckon MK owners is best, if others want to join us at various times that's fine but I think what we are really talking about here is a club
specifically for the MK people as there are now alot (or seem to be) of MK's around.

Hi Bob, As we have spoken about this before I would always try and help so count me in.
Not quite sure about North /South divides, of course Northerners are always on top, geographically of course.
Dont forget Bob you are an 'Onery northerner!! You cant be in both...
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

I must admit its hard work being both
I dont mind just to carry on booking club parking areas for the cars at shows, but i do feel people want more and after the success of the lads at MK
offering the bar-b-q at newark i think hospitality is top of the list.
I'm meeting up with shortie this weekend so we will have a chat ourselves about shows and and all that and everything.
I cant make Harrogate this year but i'm sure the lads up there can light a bar-b and cremate some meat
