Buying a Car This Weekend!!!!
Right so this weekend at Stoneleigh I have decided that I am going to buy a locost. ehhehe cant wait!!! I have my money in hand and I plan to drive
the car away for the show as footman james will be there . ?? I still have not decided on CEC or BEC but I will make my mind up on the day
I have decided to buy one keep it for a few years learn about it get the tools then build my own one.
Now what things should I look out for when buying a kitcar Any advise would be more than welcome, like thins to look out for, to stay away from?

number one has to be the v5 being correct. Make sure the vehicle is correctly described, and that it doesnt just have to donor details on it. Ask
specifically when it was SVA'd.

quality of the welding on the chassis/wishbones etc, would be my main concern with a locost, and that it is correctly registered.

So how many notes have are you taking with you?
Make sure you try and look the welds in vital areas if its a Locost, if its a kit car check the bits that the buider has modified or added things.
See if you can take it for a drive even if its just a quick drive round the showground, good thing about stonleigh is there are loads of little roads
where u can take it for a drive and not really have to worry about insurance, as long as you dont crash it!

Simple advise is, get a knowlegable person, Maybe from this site to look at one or two with you It will be well worth the lunch and beer it would
probably cost you.

The best thing you can do is find someone who knows what they are looking at and get them to go with you.
If you need to ask this question in such broad terms you could find yourself buying something that does not live up to expectations.
you beat me to it

My advice would be to meet up with someone off here and get them to have a butchers round the cars you like with you.
