Donor advice wanted please

Having got all excited at finding someone I know selling an XR4i, I've asked him and found it's got the DOHC engine whereas I'd much prefer the 205 Pinto.
Now, you may be wondering why I wanted an XR4i so much- well, it's because of the all-round disc brakes it has and unfortunately, although with everything else I'm sticking strictly to the Locost 'ethos', the one thing I am willing to splash out on is some decent alloys and I personally feel they look much better with discs as opposed to drums.
So, this leaves me with a problem: are there any SOHC Sierra's with discs that aren't the 4x4 model or the DOHC? Can anyone tell me please?

The other option (and one I'm perfectly willing to investigate if necessary) is to build the car with a drums donor and convert to discs from something else (be that Granada, Sierra whatever). How simple is this? Is it just a straight swop of the hubs/uprights or is there more to it?

It's just that for the sake of simplicity I'd rather use a donor with discs in the first place- especially because once I've built the car I'm not really going to want to do this sort of major surgery to it.

So, can any Sierra gurus out there help me please.

Thanks in advance,

James

Come to think of it I think I've posted this in the wrong section but I can't find a way to remove it to repost somewhere else. So apologies for that!

Delete message is working for me. You have to put your password in again though (and you can only delete your own messages)
