davie,
The seller is a salesman. IMHO it is not appropriate to call the customer a dickhead whatever questions he asks.

Sounds like a case of mistaken identity by the dealer, he is assuming it's an indy when it's an MK locost, not may know they made them
(after all it will say MK on the V5).
The locost is the original start if the this kitcar building firm, when I bought our indy kit they used to make locosts but not advertise it, (might
still be the case).
Like said buyer beware as normal, and look at the other items the seller sells, he is a dealer..

I think if the guy is selling and by definition inviting interest in his car then he should
1) Accept and answer to his best ability honestly.
2) Not treat the person who's money you want with disrespect.
3) call a potential buyer a d***head and worse publish so all can see.
So now we are having some fun off the back of his attitude.
All good to me
Chris.

Couldn't agree more.
But why try to antagonise the guy? Maybe he's having a bad day.

Hey mate,
I had a look at this car in early january. It's in bad condition and needs lots of work. It had a xflow engine which didn't run when I
viewed it. Fibreglass panels are cracked and have gel coat missing.
All I can say is that it needs alot of work, also it looked like it had been out in the wet alot because the floor pan was quite rusty and seats
needed replacing
thanks for the heads up thats why this web site is so good!

vague as that!

Except I'm sure you wouldn't, and neither would anybody else who possessed basic literacy skills and who actually wanted to sell
something.

Lewis,
I agree that your questions were normal and reasonable and that the response was exterme and offensive.
The thread and question were reasonable as were 90% of the replies, I was only critisisng the pointless childish bit in the middle.
You have every right to be upset but why others felt the need to flame the seller?
Sorry if you felt I was attacking you personally.
