It seems that the best way to get a decent response from a manufacturer is to become a "known face" instead of a name and number.
This is probably true of most manufacturers and is pretty much typical of most "cottage" industries.
So - advice for any prospective new owners - when you've decided on the manufacturer, spend some time calling them up for advice / pop in and
chat if you're local. Get to know them before you place the order so that when you do, and they're busy trying to figure out what to make
next you're forefront in their minds.

did they supply a sierra prop and mod it if so that sounds right
as its £70 to have your own prop modded

Yep bit of de-rusting required.. As to balancing, I don't think MK do, but if you talk to them apparantly they have never found this a problem.
Ps. Will be getting the car back to the estate in the next week or so can't wait to finish the build...

not balancing it is why its so cheap, other dedicated prop manufacturers would charge over 200 but balance it. Myself, i wouldnt dream of using it
unbalanced, but then, ive not heard of an MK one failing.

If it is out of balance a few jubilee clips and test drives will still represent quite a saving over the extra cost of a balanced one!

In answer to the original question, I've ordered stuff from MK with no major issues.
They sent me some incorrect bits once but put it right soon enough.
Stu
ps I don't know anyone at MK and have only been up there once to pick up my kit.

To add to that, I paid £100 for Reco prop to make a new one on exchance basis, I think the recon the UJs, but its all new tube and balanced.
They are based in Luton so I saved on postage too.
Edited to say mine was only a once peice CEC prop.

it´s now been 6 months since we recieved the indy and still no word from MK about my zetec manifold/exhaust.
I´ve got a few e-mails where they say it´s on it´s way, but no date.
Would be interesting to know if anyone else has recieved a zetec manifold from them since new year.
It feels like that I as a non uk customer is put on hold for my things

I have ordered a pair of rear hubcarrier and I can asure everyone that it was both the first and the last time I ever will order items from MK! I can
write down a whole book on all excuses they come up with for not shipping a already paid item that they say they have in stock (the first time I
call).
I have could done them myself and not only one pair....during the half year it take before I get them.

have you already paid? if not just buy one elsewhere, if you have paid request your money back and then go elsewhere. without being told of such
delays i wouldn't wait no where near that amount of time for an exhaust.
It´s paid for.
Called them today again and this time I spoke to someone called Wally (?) and he promised they´re gonna deliver the manifold, exhaust, fan next week.
I´ll see if he keeps his word better then Ken and Phil who promised me these parts long time ago.

i believe the two peice are used on the BEC's with one peice on the CEC's.
I'm sure someone will pop along and correct me if i'm wrong.

You may well be right. Certainly its a one peice on a BAC [1].
I didn't check the BECs, but as the gear box is much further forwards (being integrated into the engine) it wouldn't supprise me if it is
a two piece prop as you had to add that bit where the type 9 would normally be.
