I'm not trying to get on the wrong side of anyone.

At first I thought that thread would be interesting just like the rest of you. I have no problem with other people or their personal tastes on certain matters, what I didn't like was the way the thread seemed to turn to filth.

Also, everyone has taste in music.. You didn't say whether my taste was good or bad though...

One final note, I'm not after an argument. People are entitled to partake whatever pleasure they desire as far as I care. I'm not a homophobe, I'm not anti bi. If you would like confirmation, ask the two people I helped move home a couple of weeks ago.

All I would like is people to get facts straight about what I apparently think before they decide to announce to the world that I'm anti something or other.

and your music taste's poo mate..... but exactly the same as mine

would you mind unblocking me on msn so we can talk more sensibly?

Are we all friends again now?

Come on guys (are there any ladies on here?), we've all got one thing in common after all, suggestions as to what that is?

Hippy, don't worry, we all get de-motivated / pissed off with it at times. Anything we can do to help?

Oh, we're all tw*ts. It's just that with some people it's far more obvious.

As for help, it's all financial. So unless one of you wins the lottery and lends me £5k to live off and build my car with for 2 or 3 months then I'm afraid it all depends on me finding work..

Additional:: I have some red oxide

Come on, as you told me - 'stick at it'

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=3456

I didn't scan all that BMW stuff for nothing

As for the financial stuff, life has many 90 degree bends in it which appear at irregular intervals (good and bad) so if you are having a run off bad luck sooner or later it will change

I really know where you are coming from, but I am looking at it after one of those events.

Sympathy, boll0cks, its all down to stamina!!

I know I know.. practice what you preach.

Knackers to that, I don't have stamina. I'm unfit, that's why I've started running again.

Trying to get it back again.

Just look out for one of those 90 degree bends, I not talking locosting here, things got REALLY bad for me a while back, I managed to struggle on for a while and then a series of unconnected coincidences happened, and with a little help I managed to get everything back together (confidence severely knocked, but now increasing all the time).

It may happen tomorrow, it may not, but something will happen that you can sling a hook onto that will improve things. Its up to you to build on that once it happens.

I know where you are coming from, easy now to look back and say 'chin up' but - chin up!

Mark

Hippy,

If you think that you may carry on building at a later date, why not spent some time doing the little (cheap) but time-consuming things that slow the big build down? For example, design your wiring, source the little bits and pieces, make you own seats, etc.

good luck!

David

P.S. You have my sympathy with the student finance thing - my son went through uni a few years back, and it came as major shock to him when he had to live off a limited amount of money. He finally realised how much free bed and board is really worth!

ooh, i'd like to hear about my issues, would be interesting.

now, i'm not saying you're ageist, but i have got that impression of you at times, especially with your use of such narrow minded stereotypes like the baseball caps comment in that thread.

yes the younger members you have corresponded with on technical matters may say different, but until they do, we can assume otherwise

I recall bringing age into this list only on two occasions. One to question how a 21 year old, who was was born the year Sierras were released for public sale, and only 10 when the cars were stopped being produced, could be an 'authority'.

and he still thinks i'm a wanker who knows nothing - what a sad pathetic way to think.
