Fireblade engine

Hi all,

I inherited a spare 893cc 'blade engine when I bought my Locoblade (which has a 919cc fitted). My question is... As it is just gathering dust in my garage, should I keep it as a spare or should I flog it bearing in mind I do have a) a wedding, and b) sorting out the Locoblade for this season to pay for!

Also, any indications of roughly what it would be worth would be helpful as I have no idea

Regards,

Frodo

Keep, it will not drop in value.

I paid £200 for a 919 in November and considered myself very lucky, was expecting to have to fork out £400+. t uses the same engine mounts etc so a straight swap if you blow what you have.

I'd keep hold of it just incase anything goes wrong with yours.

I paid £300 for my (893 blade) engine a year ago but that did come as the engine, carbs, coil packs + leads, haynes manual, air box and a few other lil bits.

If you just have the bare engine, I'd guess it'd be worth around the £200 mark.
