leaky fuel tank
i have an ally tank,where the baffle has been puddle welded in there is a leak.
any brilliant ideas how to repair it ,ive tried metal mend stuff,that only lasted a few weeks

i used wurth adhesive when i had a small leak, a year later and its still sealing nicely!

Leaky tank
I had the same problem. Fixed it with some tank sealer from Frosts. Wasn't cheap though.

yea masking take dont last too long Simon,will araldite do the job?if not ill get onto frost,s,as you can imagine getting the tank out isnt a 5 min
job so i want to get it right 1st time

drill a 4mm hole where the leak is and use sealed roof rivit!

I was going to suggest the frost stuff too. They used it in Practical Classics for a really quite manky tank and it appears it did the job
nicely....

ive used body filler on tanks b4 an they have always held. cheap locost solution
edited to say im an idiot an didnt read the ally tank part, so it may not work with that

I second what Rusty Nuts said - Petropatch. I repaired multiple leaks on my Montesa trials bike ali tank over 20 years ago and it is still going
strong.
