This is a bit of a close guarded secret, but if you have an HSBC Bank account, you can download McAfree for free from the personel internet page. The
banks are doing it to help cut down on freud.
You will not get a much better deal than this!

The problem with free software is it only identifies, McAfee / Norton is a full protection product. It's not really free like the other
downloads. Its a customer perk or promo by the credit card companies

third vote for avast, use a copy at home. (free)
For buisness we use eset nod 32. (pay but cheep compared to norton etc..)
Stay away from norton products as they slow your machine down big time!

Hi, ive tried them all it seems. The reason that ones liek norton and macfee slow things down is thay are built around older programs and to keep upto
date they keep bolting new stuff on.
Recently i have purchased kaspersky and its brilliant - you hardly know its there. Its the latest design so there is no old architecture and for about
£15 you are fully protected not just the basic protection you get with the free ones. It does all the sweeps etc and isnt just a fire wall etc.
Well recommended by me and loads of my friends. The IT guy at work put me onto it and I wont be changing again.
cheers
