Hi everyone!
Please post your impressions of Teeside as we are thinking of going next month for the initial shakedown test of our Phoenix.
On video it would seem that there are a few areas lacking in runoff, although this may not be of paramount importance on our first runout.
What about amount of tracktime, waiting time etc.?
Any info greatly appreciated.
Geoff.

I've done Teesside a couple of times before, but with the ne7ers club. There's always been plenty of track time on those instances. I've not been on one of these days though - and they've booked 35 cars on, so I'll wait and see but I think it may be a little busier than normal. At the end of the day it depends how well the other drivers respect the overtaking rules.

Had a good day, the car behaved it's self....mostly. Somehow Pete managed to cook the brakes,.. twice, he came in with the brake pedal on the floor. Change of brake fluid before the next event I guess..

Overall, I'd say the day worked out well. Most of the slower cars were quick enough to get out of the way, so I'd definately do another. Only saw one car damaged.

Pete had a pretty convincing pole position, fastest lap, and race win in the karts. That's ma boy!

Here's a vid, Pete chasing Rich (Bigfoot) and a pretty rapid Elise. Teesside video

Pete may get some more footage up this weekend, and I'll get a few pics up shortly.

Certainly is a quick combination Paul, in fact, I'd say it's the quickest blade powered car I've ever "played" with on track. (Choosing words carefully, cos we definately were not racing! )

Pete's put some more clips together. Unfortunately the camera battery died during the afternooon chase with the Striker, so there's only a lap or so... It finishes off with Pete playing in the gravel trap.

Another Teesside video

It's a big ol' 2.1 Pinto. To be honest, we were struggling all day putting the power down onto the back straight, but other than that it went OK.

Camera is nothing special.. Sony mini DV clamped to the cage. It has no external mic socket which is a bit of a problem, hence the music to try and overcome the wind roar.
