No suggestions, but thanks for letting us know you're away for a bit... unlike a certain Mr Whippy who just VANISHED!

At least we know you're safe and well, and haven't been kidnapped by those pesky aliens!

I make a point of not telling folk I'm not at home (especially on an open forum) so I don't come back and all my stuffs been stolen. Knew someone who use to live near me, that had told everyone they were going away and came back to find absolutely everything was gone, including their fitted kitchen, no joke. I later heard that the thieves had actually brought round a removal van but no one thought to ask.

Fuertaventura is a bit quiet, I recommend nipping on the ferry over to Lanzarote (which you can actually see over the water its that close) and going on what's called the "Grand Tour" of the islands volcano's and caves, it’s quite spectacular. The weather is very good right now; I got back from Lanzarote last night to heavy rain

Fuertaventura is lovley, get yourself to coreleco (not sure on proper spelling sorry) it has the best beaches and great for actiony type stuff - they hold the wind surfing championships there regularly, so good place to learn.

Not lots of stuff to go see, by way of attractions we went on an excurtion to the mountains, was ok... if you like goat cheese.

You can get a ferry to morocco, which is an experience.

I really enjoyed it, but if you are expecting ibeza then you will be disapointed.

Definitely head over to Corralejo as that has glorious sand dunes en-route. Be warned though, the Germans like the dunes and it's also a nudist beach! The two going together isn't a nice experience!

If you hire a car then be careful where you park it at the dunes as we saw people getting their cars stuck and being charged a fortune for a tow out.

The town of Corralejo has changed a lot since we first went about 10 years ago as it has become a more commercialised, however, it's still quiet compared to a lot of places. Walk around the harbour bit (this is where you can catch the ferry over to Lanzarote) as there are some nice restaurants around there.

If you like it a bit warmer then head to the south of the Island (Jandia) as that has one huge beach and is a couple of degrees warmer than the north of the island (Corralejo). Well worth hiring a car and driving from one end to the other as you'll see some fantastic little beachs/coves on the way.

We did a "jeep safari" as it was called at the time and the tour guides took you to some of the remote areas of the island and you get to see various shipwrecks, caves, volcano's, etc... No idea if this is still being run now though I'm afraid.

Last of all, enjoy yourself!
