HUGE thanks to AB Garage for doubling my BHP!

Hi guys,

just picked the cat up from Ade at AB Garage and I think i've got a different car!!

He's toiled over it for 2 days, changing the head, setting up the cam, fully setting up the carbs and jets, fixing my megajolt, and tuning it fully on their rolling road.

It was running very poorly when i took it in, but its all ive ever known tbh. turns out the megajolt had given up completely as i chip had come loose (which he soon fixed). then the problem that it dies over 4000rpm became clear... there was no throttle stop, so with my foot down it was actually going past full throttle and closing again. So he made up a bracket to fix that.

All in all it went in with about 58bhp, and has come out with the FR33 cam in an otherwise standard head (with adjustable pulley) with 119bhp AT THE WHEELS!!

so loosley 140bhp-150bhp at the flywheel depending on who you beleive regarding transmission losses.

but far more importantly than numbers, it goes like poo of a shovel!! Though i think i'll be through this set of tyres soon, it spins up in straight line in first, and squims round bends alot in second. But its sooooo easy to control and catch the slide without coming off the throttle!!!

I am such a happy man!

Not often you can gain power at a cost of £6 per BHP!!

BRING ON STONELEIGH!

(please dont rain!)

I may it about £350 spent.
- I think you would be hard pushed to get a zetec fitted for that, certainly not inc labour!!

Im looking at doing a swap from a cvh to a zetec, which is about as easy as it gets, and i'll be doing all the work myself, its not even close.

Yup, they're the ones. As a slight aside, they are also pretty good with Power Commander mapping for BEC's too.
