Hi,

I went through a long google search and spent today fiddling, the result is I now have a ps3 40gb that is working again. Only problem is early this
morning a new ps3 slim turned up!
So for sale, ps3 40gb with power lead, sixaxis controller, box and all manuals - £100 + post

What was wrong with it in the end? If there was some games with it it'd be more tempting to buy.

The problems were cracked (but not visibly so)solder on the main board, application of a hot air gun about an hours work and some thermal compound
sorted it. Better than paying £130+vat for sony to do exactly the same.
As for chucking in games there are still some I haven't sold so u2u me with interests and I'll do some sort of a deal!
