MOT fail....

...on toy car yesterday.

I knew headlight aim would be out and I was right (being done).

OS bottom drivers seatbelt bolt loose (done).

Top OS wishbone balljoint alledgedly kaput (wasn't, it was the nut inside the upright adaptor wasn't tight (is now though).

Final thing was exhausts - too loud (went and got a pair of CBS 6" cans to fit - ouch!)

Ten days till retest, then after 3 years 9 months off the road, we might be back on it!

How did they test the silencers????

Was it " their opinion" ??

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Yes his opinion - I pointed out that I was allowed 101db on SVA but his argument was that man from VOSA could be sitting round the corner spying on him doing a test.

And yes, it really was; very, very loud

As I mentioned in my blog update, the new silencers will hopefully be quite effective (they are massive compared to what is on there at the mo) meaning the car can be used late at night and early starts!

Forgot to say about another fail - when on full lock, arch stays touch bodywork (but that'll just be some more jubilee clips on rack!)
