if you get yourself very organised, you could probably do an MK indy in that time/cost.

hehehe

close enough.

yeah, either way, i figure if you got an MK indy kit (the more pricey one) and got yourself organised with all the other stuff you need, you could certainly get it running in 2 months, even with little/no car experience

Sounds good the mk site seems good, will give them a ring tomorrow!

The other company i was looking at were robin hood but i seem to keep reading bad things about the 2b! certainly cheap tho.

avoid robin hood if you want a fast build! MKs and some others go together very well by all accounts.

i think its unlikely that you will have it road legal within 3 months though, not being a miserable git but its bloody hard getting all the finishing touches done. might easily be driving in 3 months though.

hehe, i think that pretty much covers RH, in most cases, it's seemed more like they're an ok template that you get to rebuild

Not saying it can't be done, but 3k all in ?
the kits over 2k, without any of the donor parts, and its scary how all those "little things" mount up. IMHO 5k is a budget build for a bought kit.

From what ive found in my build of a luego velocity (same kinda thing as an mk). If you spend more money it takes less time, if you have a lot of time it takes less money and also completely depends on how commited you are. Im a uni student and plan to get mine finished this summer(look at my photos for sort of current status, im a bit ahead of those) but even that’s fairly ambitious. Are you planning on getting a job as well, do you already have the 3k to start with? Youll prob need more money than that to get it finished properly. Another thing you gotta think about is your mates back home, youll prob be going out every second night (if you’ve got mates that is J) and if you don’t work you wont get to work early after a nite out, trust me. Do it deffo, but my best guess is that while being at uni itll take a year unless you take it to uni with you. All IMHO
cheers fin
