Rover K series and Ford MT75
Hi,
Has anybody here seen/done a K series using an MT75 gearbox?
I have looked everywhere for help but had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

They have definetly been available, but not sure if the manufacturer went bust a few years ago! May have to look for a second hand one!

I have a feeling that K series are usually fiited to Type 9s with a special bellhousing (Caterham?) but I also have a feeling that MT75s have an
integral BH
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

Robin hood did an adapter to go from T series to a mt75 but it needs a v6 2wd mt75 with the longer input shaft.
Very rare.....!!!

Thanks for the replies guys. The type 9 is the usual suspect for a K series but it wont take the kind of power that I want to put through it.
Robin Hood did do an adapter plate for the T series but that is a different bellhousing bolt pattern.
I could make an adaptor plate but it would mean putting a 30mm spacer on the end of the crank to get the input shaft correctly engaged in the clutch
plate.
I am not sure that I like the idea of that.

Unless you are turboing your 'K' it will probably cope ok in a light car.

It will be putting out about 210bhp. Most people only rate the type 9 to 180bhp.

I would say that a N/A 210bhp K-series will not produce type-9 shredding torque figures... but then I could be wrong of course! I frequently am!
It's Evolution Baby!
