buy from? 14mm shaft m10 thread
I am after a bolt that is M10 but needs to have a 14mm dia shaft. what are these type of bolts called?
like this one; the smooth part to be 14mm dia and the thread then reduces down to m10

as flibble says its a shoulder bolt
or you could use a spacer on an normal M10 if its not a critical part

Yes, technically it is a shoulder bolt...a bolt with a shoulder, but it's not really a recognised shoulder bolt as such...they have ground
shoulders, short threads and no lead-in.
It's definitely a special bolt that you'll probably have to get from the main dealer (or specialised auto part place)....certainly not
something you'll find at a regular nut and bolt/hardware store.
IMO of course.

thanks guys, Shoulder bolt, thats the puppy, really couldn't rememeber the name to get my searches started! lets see what I can find!
