Cheap ali elliptical tube supplier
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a cheap aluminum oval or elliptical tube supplier. This is for my company to buy in bulk and manufacture from.
Also how is this stuff bent? I take it with custom die benders the same as we bend tube and box?
I am happy to purchase from anywhere in the world as quantaties will be large and profit margins kept high.
Please help me win some brownie points at work!!!
Cheers.

As long as you want over 1000 metres, the extruders will make what you want.
I have been involved in a couple of projects needing custom ali tube sizes, and managed to get an extruder down to 500m, but that was in USA. It was
cheaper and quicker to get the job done in USA, then ship the tubes across.
Cheers,
Nev.

Aalco seem a good bet. I have left a message for them to contact me tomorrow.
Neville, Iteresting what you say about extruded tube to custom measurments. 1000M is not a huge amount as long as they can produce samples to start
with!!
Thanks for the info..
Anyone got any advice for outsourcing manufacturing to China!?!

The last time I had some special profiles produced, Aalco sourced it from Spain for me and it was a minimum of1000kg per profile. I would say this is
the minimum rather than 1000m unless it weighed more than 1kg/m.

1000Kg is a lot of ali!!!
1000M seems more sensible but actually, depending on profile it may not be!!
hmm. . . . .
Oh and I did speak to Aalco and they did not seem very helpful. She just said no oval tube and there is nobody she can recommend to help. Any
contacts at Aalco to actually speak to.
Tazzmaxx - What costs were dealing with an what profile? I would like to get an idea please.
Thanks.
Any other advice. . . .
