reverse gear starters
Apart from the vw starter is there any other one which does the job What starter motor does MK use?

Hi
On our indy R1 we were going to use a Jag X type starter motor which has an easy to mount plate,
See picture in our archive, I paid £48 for it, if its any use you can have it for £25 + post or collect.
Fully tested working perfectly from a crashed X type 29,000 miles.
In the end we decided on an MNR reverse box.

What's wrong with the VW starter? Most people use it, it's one of the few that actually rotate in the correct direction.
