A Racing Car is Born
Well, I sat down last night and watched the first 5 episodes that I'd recorded from Tuesday.
Actually, it's not a bad program! They've gone back to the original approach, instead of pratting about like they did on "chopper".
Interesting tho'... I really hadn't realised how similar the Locost is to the Westfield, until I started watching that... I knew it was fairly
similar, but...

Yeah I watched it too, interesting I thought.
Also noticed that the delivered chassis is more complete that my chassis that I've been working on for over a year, cheating swine
At least when mines on the road I can say that I built it (oh and Unclefista too)

Agreed - in the past Westfield shipped bare chassis and pre-cut panels.
As an aside, various Locosts got good mentions in the 'other people's cars' and 'racing car show' section.

Yeah - watched it to on Tuesday, I enjoyed it but did get mildly irritated - but then I would really like 30 mins of pure car building in detail, but
that would probably be boring to the average Jo Shmo watching ....

Discovery Home and Leisure - Sky 133, don't know about cable.
Tuesdays at 9:00pm, five 30-minute programmes in a row (stupid way of doing it, I think).
Don't worry if you've missed it - H&L repeat everything over and over.

Don't eat video tapes bob, It's bad for the guts,
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

A bloke down the road from me has been building one with his son. I saw him at Donnington year before last when he had just fitted the fibreglass
complete body tub. He came up to look at my chassis and said the only difference was theirs was plastic coated. I don't think I want to watch a
Meccano build anyway and that vet bloke really annoys me.
yours, Pete.
P.S. his still isn't finished.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
