How long should the headlight support brackets be?

i built mine at what ever size i wanted to .. i just made two the same and for the threaded stud i used a 3mm washer and welded it in the center ..

My MK is 140mm from chassis to centre of headlamp mounting hole, and centred on the top shock mount.
MK should be the same as the roadster in plan.

Thanks guys. The roadster book also says to center on the shock mount so i will use the 140mm mentioned and go with that. Have you threaded the lighting cable through the oval bracket or cable tied it to the underside of the headlight mount?

I did neither, I used stainless shower hose, leading to a grommet in the side panel. The hose has a teflon-ish liner inside, and cost about £3 from Lidl.
You can just about see it on the left side of this photo.
