Hi new north East member

Hi all, just joined the forum today and thought I'd get introduced. I bought my locost last year as an almost finished project and managed to get a months use out of it toward the end of the year which was great until I broke a shocker in Newcastle by clattering a pothole! Winter has been spent basically sorting the little niggles and issue from rushing to get it going last year, so here's hoping to some good weather to have a run out this year and hopefully meet a few other members from the area. (County Durham)

Welcome. You should have a run down to the fast lane car show on the 11th of May. The post code is NE 45 5AY........ Hoping it's the same place as the last few years, Corbridge rugby field, next to the train station. It's a great place to meet the North East people with 7s.

cheers guys, yeah, as soon as I get her roadworthy again It'll be good to get to a few meets and have the craic with you all.
The car isn't too far off being back on the road, when the shock collapsed last year, it damaged the cooling system (spring flew off and punctured a hose) and cracked the sump so Ive had the engine out over the winter to inspect the clutch (was slipping - turned out the clutch plates are fine, was the cable not releasing),replace the sump, and basically clean the engine up, fix a few electrical gremlins, add some vinyl wrap, fit a bespoke boot, and polish her up!!
Im local to chester le street (ouston) so the church mouse meet will be a good one for me!
Ill hopefully get some pictures up soon of the car when I bought it, and a few of the bits of work Ive been doing.

PS Im on the hunt for some 14"-15" wheels -It has 17"s on but I want to go smaller - does anyone fancy a swap or know of any for sale? (ford running gear, 4 stud pattern)?

This was a laugh - was cranking and cranking but wouldnt fire, realised the coil was shot so put a new one on -Ignition! unfortunately the exhaust must have been filling up with fuel at the time of ignition......:-D

I did a full rewire and ditched all the original instruments, so decided a new dash would be needed
