What is the height difference between a CVH and a Pinto?

A CVH is 19.7 in high and a Pinto is 18.25 in high.

Are you sure? It is a long time ago, but i am sure that when I measured the height of the Pinto in my mates car (with slightly modified sump) it came
to approx 24" from sump to rocker cover.........
Dont just build it.....make it!

Just measured my 2.0 EFI Pinto and sump to rocker is 605mm (23.8").
Is it possible that your 1.6 pinto is shorter than the 2.0? Maybe...?

as ford use the same bore and ajust the stroke you could be right james,ps you going to pick up the oval?

I measured a CVH today at work, It is 32" from cam cover(inc filler) to the floor and 7" of ground clearance under the sump making it 25"

Thanks folks, I had assumed that the CVH was lower, so thats plans A out the window. It may have to be back to looking for a X flow to keep the height
down.
