My XE Runs:)

Started today for the first time. I tried on thursday night but after adjusting the float levels it wasn't having it and it got too late to carry on.

Swapped the spark leads around on the coil pack today and it started at the first attempt

Sounds a bit tappetty but i'm hoping that'll go away with a bit of running.

It will be running of a megajolt but for now its just on the EDIS limp home 10deg static timing. (I forgot to disconnect the ECU before doing some welding!)

Just had to tell the world it all seems worthwhile now!

Well done. It is THE major landmark of the build. Your car is alive. Im still grinning after starting my Pinto last week. I even got mine ticking over quitre nicely yesterday after completing the cooling system.

Engine starting is the best inspiration in the World ever. Not long before youll have it finished now!
