Another 'Next Project'
Can't decide between one of these:
and one of these:
This mini is from Z Cars and has it's own space frame chassis and fiber glass body. Bike engine in the back and 0-60 in 2.8 secs!!!!

If you are thinking about a Mini project its worth taking a look at FRA Mini.
http://www.framini.com/
They do a full GRP monocoque shell that can accept a number of rear powerplants inc bike installs. Would probably be a load cheaper than Z cars. I saw
their shell when they were based in Ferryhill and it looked fantastic. They also do a mini trailer - again a nice piece of kit.

Maybe I'm missing the point but the first one looks like one of those electric bikes and the second looks like one of the fastest minis on the
planet. Is there really any contest?

Well the 1st is a convertable!! Bit slow though. The Mini does look like a larf and it would certainly turn a few heads on the London to brighton
run!!

Is it just me who thinks that Zcars pricing structure needs a rethink. For what they are charging you could BUY an almost complete kit?

If you go down to Z-Cars and see the amount of work he has got on I think a lot of people find him reasonably priced. A lot of his work is bespoke so
you don't get the savings that arise from manufacturing a kit in relative volume. His hourly rate for one-off work is actually cheaper than the
rate charged by my local back street garage manned by a set of monkeys.
When he did my mate's R1 Mini rally car it certainly totted up to a fair few quid but it was the first Mini he ever did. Everyone else that we
approached reckoned it couldn't be done.

www.Ultimini.co.uk is a full space frame with fabbed suspension components and a body that actually looks like a Mini. Option for mad clubbie front
and mad bubble front...with equally mad wide rear quarters.
Just to be awkward....Mini's should have Mini engines

Sorry Chaps but the UltiMini website is still under construction. It has been neglected recently, we have been busy designing and manufacturing our 2
new models.

I always carry at least 3 light-weight bodies suitable for spaceframes in stock, with a choice of fronts.
