Congrats

You have to wait 2 years before you can ride unrestricted bikes now ? Is it 'cos of age or what ?

Sounds rough

Well done!! Be careful out there though, especially this time of year!!

You have to wait 2 yrs if you are under 21 when you take your test. Once you hit 21 you can take the advanced test, or just wait. If you are 21 when you take your test you can do direct access....

That's a bit unfair..

When I passed mine there was CBT then the Test itself, then you could go kill yerself on any bike of any size

Almost did too, more than once......

Yep - rode and did my test on the 125. Then sold that and bought a ZX7R.
Sold that and bought the Fury

a bike trackday is undoubtedly the way to get to grips with it safely. Id love to do one, but cant be bothered doing a test as i never intend to ride a bike on the roads.

yeh, Im only 17, so by the time the restriction runs out ill be 19, i have a 125 at the moment, been riding that since february when i turned 17, before that i had a 50cc scooter for a year, ill probably stick with the 125 til im 18 then get something a bit quicker and get it restricted *cough* my dads busa looks tempting.... joke, that bike scares the poo out of me, its the pre 2000 one too so the top speed isnt limited to 180 something, not that you'd notice.

Congratulations.

Wrap up warm and stay on the dry line.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

well done. Passed mine in 1977 - it was so much easier then.

Just ride a 250 with an L for as long as you like, no CBT. Then, if you wanted a full license, drive round the block a few times while a pedestrian examiner sees you for about 15% of the route!

I dont think I could have bothered with all the hoops you have to jump through now
