Got the car up to 60MPH yesterday!!!!
Got my car up to 60mph yesterday…… It was being towed at the time..
I’m moving house and I had to move my car and did not have time to do the final 4 or 5 outstanding tasks and get the car SVA’d. So I had to get the
car moved into temporary storage. Rather than risk driving it I had a recovery company tow it.
While I followed the tow truck I had a huge sense of achievement and pride at seeing the car on the road and the other drivers slowing down for a
look. Best of all nothing fell off Yippee.
I also spent the journey thinking 170bhp is just not enough and how to get over 200bhp, strange that since I have not even driven it on the road
yet.
Do I now have the nerve to apply for the SVA???

I know how you felt. First time mine left the yard was on a trailer to get the exhaust fitted. Feeling of pride and achievement as a nearly fully
built car rolled out into the light.
Lots of admiring looks from people you pass. But hard to keep eyes on road, not on rear view mirror watching to see if cycle wings stayed on!
BUT it's nothing compared to pulling out from the SVA centre with the MAC in your pocket, no plates on and flooring it all the way to the
redline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Get it booked in, the worst that can happen is you fail, they give you a list of things to fix and you fix them. Then you pass.

Shame to see it on the back of a recovery before its even been on the road.
I think 170 bhp is more than enough. Thats what mine is aiming for. In a 500kg car plenty.

No amount of power is enough until there is no grip, then you need to get more grip, then more power..........The only thing limiting my cars speed is
£££.
