shocks

Im stripping out and making road legal a 1976 Mini.
I need to buy new bushes for the front shockers

it has adjustable (damping) shockers on the front and by carefull removal of rust and many coats of paint i have revealed the name 'Armstrong' and what looks like a model number

I can find reference to this make on the net but no supplier names -

have they been bought out by another more familiar manufacturer?

Are they still going but i cant find anything about them?

Or am i on a non starter?

Anyone any info they would like to share?

Thanks

Buy one of the mini mags, there should be someone in there who will know, or try my mate who fix's mini for a living. min1dave@aol.com

hi,I'm old enough to remember Armstrongs being an aftermarket improvement-like spax. probably standard mini bushes would fit- or you could always measure them

My uncle used to work for the armstrong shock absorber company in the 60's. The owners son had a green Lotus Seven, they were bought up by (I think) Tube Industries in the 70's. They were based in York.

good information fellas,

I could always ask Mark at MNR to make some custome bushes for me but would rather just buy an off the shelf replacement and avoid the measuring issues!
