is this true? "the design of the Locost is based on a Clubman's Race Car designed and built by Ron Champion in 1963."

If someone has a "under construction" photo they could add that would be helpful I think.

yes, because if it wasn't then Westfield would have won the court case against Mr Champion / Haynes (can't remember who).

I believe Ron produced some photographs in court to prove it.

Assuming a 3 percent annual inflation rate that would be 250x(1.03^43)= 891.13

given that the average national weekly wage in was £16.14s.11d
and the same in 2006 is (est) £400 (approx £20800 annual) gives ratio of 25:1
apply that to £250 = £6,250
given that the average build seems to be settling in around £5000 (when purchasing a kit etc) then we seem to faire better than out 1963 counterpart! ps maths never was my strongest point so i could be talking complete bollocks
