i am looking for a clevis fasterner similar to the ones shown in the pic above. the ones from rally design all have threaded fixings. I am looking for one that i can clamp onto cable. or is the one in the pic a threaded one that has been drilled and tapped the accept the bolts in the side?

the ones in the piccy are not threaded and im sure thats how they come - with the 2 grub screws.

The only ones i could find on rally design were threaded too

Look for suppliers of industrial wire ropes, who will probably carry fittings to suit, or know where to get them.

I would not rely on grub screws in that setup, unless it's a light load application, better to silver solder if possible, or have a crimped joint.
