anyone recommend makes/brands of prescription googles? costs and where to buy would be handy.

Never actually tried them but industrially UVEX (UK) do a wide range of prescription eyewear / goggles. They are at www.uvex.co.uk

I would speak to your local opticians, my mum works at Boots Opticians and they do a wide range of sports goggles for squash etc, i'm sure they
would be able to sort you out.

Doesn't oakley make motocross style goggles that are designed to fit over glasses?

Do a google search for Wiley-X glasses, they will make removeable prescription lenses for you. Which means you can have clear, or tinted etc, all
which are strenthened to resist those pesky flies and small stones etc.
Not cheap in the UK, £60 for basic goggles. $60 in the US of A.
I wear them and they are great. Neoprene seals stop they tearful eye from the wind, and full unrestricted vision.
Cheap - NO... but I recon they take some beating.
PS... They are also issued to US servicemen, and they do look pretty good as well.

No. The proper Locost solution is to use Blue-tac to stick a pair of old lenses into your goggles. Thats eactly what my tight-arsed diving chum
does!!!
