Darren @ GTS
I know this has been asked before but has anyone been able to get hold of Darren lately.. I have been trying for the last couple of weeks, managed to
speak to him once or twice, but without getting a commitment from him when my hubs and fuel tank are going to be returned. Over the last few days he
seems to have disappeared and without the hubs back I can't achieve my target of getting a rolling chassis this weekend.
Cheers

It seems to me that whilst Darrens stuff is usually pretty good, (I have some of his wishbones on my Indy) you have to accept that he doesn't
always seem to be the speediest supplier in the world.
Anyone who looks at this forum will know that and should accept it as the norm from Darren and deal with it accordingly.
It can't come as a suprise any more to anyone that he is difficult to get hold of and no one should angry or frustrated about it.
If you are the kind of person who likes to work to deadlines and has no patience then go elsewhere.
If on the other hand you have loads of time and are laid back about things then why not? As I said his stuff seems pretty good.
Cheers

His workshop number is 01474 707071.
there is nearly always someone on this number, if not Darren himself then one of his staff, this number has been printed lloads of times and is the
BEST way to get hold of him.

The issue is not about deadlines or whether Darrens stuff is good. I just want to talk to him and get my stuff back and carry on
building>>>
The comment 'It can't come as a suprise any more to anyone that he is difficult to get hold of and no one should angry or frustrated
about' is frankly not the point. He is running a business!
Thanks for the workshop number
cheers

I feel I have no choice but to comment here, if you didn't already have the workshop number, why not, and that being the case its no real
surprise that you cannot get hold of Darren, as you quite clearly pointed out he is trying to run a business and spending all day on the phone wont
allow him to do that.
if you have an issue contact him, and make it clear in NO uncertain terms what you expect and when you expect it/them.
Then take it from there, Darren is there to help you and it is not in his interest not to help you now is it.
I will be contacting the w/shop on Monday and I WILL manage to get a hold of Darren at some point during the day, if I can do that then there is NO
reason why anyone else cannot do the same.
I will say it again as in the last post with regards a similar matter as this I find it funny (and I don't mean funny ha ha, I mean funny odd,
as was misconstrued in the previous post) that certain people have so many issues getting a hold of Darren, I don't.
Anyone who knows of me from this site & personally will know I will bend over-backwards to help anyone out, but I wont be bent over forwards and
rogered by anyone and know full well that i take cr*p from no-one, and anyone attempting to feed me cr*p is dealt with swiftly and severely on every
occasion and I'm not shy about bringing any such issue to the attention of the forum (just ask Triton), so with that ethos in mind if I had, had
any such similar issues with the service from GTS Tuning, the forum would have been well aware of my discontent by now.
But no I can honestly say I have never had cause to complain about any aspect of the service GTS Tuning provide, and I have no personal affiliation
with GTS so they have NO reason to provide me with any special treatment, other than the one they provide to any paying customer.

Maybe you only get normal service if you buy one of their kits?

In my experience, whether you buy a full kit or a bag of washers all get treated the same, yes it is true that sometimes people have to wait for a
certain part but the guys at GTS are as helpful as possible.
Darren himself has admitted on more than one occasion that they have been victims of their own success and that they fall behind on their orders as a
result, not many other companies are ina position to be able to say the same thing. I have not yet bought a whole kit, just collecting parts, some
from GTS and some from other sources and i have always been dealt with in a professional and friendly manner and i am always made to feel welcome when
i visit the workshop. Sometimes i visit just for the hell of it and have a nosey round but i still get treated as a valued customer.
I hope that when i do eventually get a chassis and start work that i can do as good a job as Mark and Brian have done.
Cheers guys.

This is getting ridiculous...all I asked was were is Darren
Calvinx...Great post............!
Just to clarify, I have no issue whatso ever with Darren, I find him a very amiable chap and have recently bought some expensive brakes from him and
the service was ok. What I would like now is communication to say you can have your bits next week or next month. It doesnt matter.
Had you read my first post then you would have seen that I have spoken to him a couple of weeks ago but not this. If you speak to him on Monday well
done!
I fully appreciate Darren is busy but so are we all. I dont have the time to sit on the phone all day trying to get through but do expect a response
to various different messages left.
How you treat people good or bad and raise issues on here I dont really care, all I ask is for is communication.
Cheers
Ricky
