water pump zetec

Putting 2.0l in, does anybody know what water pump i need as this one goes in the wrong direction, part number if poss, THANKS.

Best bet is the scrapie.

I pay £1-2 each.

I may get a few more next time I am down there and post at cost, as I have done with a few other bits and bobs.

Its a five min job on an escort. 4 bolts with 8mm spanner cut the belt and mind your nuckles as you pull it past the chassis leg

That water pump fits silvertops only. If you are fitting a blacktop you have to live with the wrong way pump it comes with and add an idler pulley to drive the pump the way it was intended by ford off the back of the belt.

In case you havn't already figured this out.... the 2.0 Mondeo pump runs the opposite way to the 1.6 and 1.8 Escort ones. I guess most people will use the inlet off an Escort, so just remember to grab the water pump (and the injectors and TB) at the same time!
