trailer insurance
anyone tried to get insurance for a homemade trailer before?
just taken out insurance with stoneways but they say i need a valuation report from a dealer,went to my local indespenion dealer they say its not
worth anything and couldnt value it as its homemade.i know its worth £500.00 pound all day long .any one eles had this problem??only thing i can do is
send pictures of it in to stoneways

You could try the NFU. I know that if you have a vehicle insured with them, then your trailer is automatically covered! Maybe worth a try...

Most insurance will cover a trailer while you are towing it but if you are looking to insure it while it's parked it's a different matter.
If it's on your own property you could get cover on your domestic policy as long as it's secure and fitted with a hitch lock or wheel
clamp when not in use but you have to make sure it's declared on the policy.
