My Donor
I got a donor this evening. A G reg Sierra Saphire 1.6 mot failure. Picked it up for £30 and when I got it home found a Haynes manual in the boot and
a penny under the front seat - result.
I'll swap out the 1.6 for my father in-laws 2.0 but I've also got my eyes on a brand new 2.0 Pinto one of my neighbors might still have. That's
right, brand new. The guy in question is a gas turbine engineer working for Rolls Royce Aero Engines. He bought a new Sierra many moons ago and the
engine packed up at 26,000 miles. Ford offered to have it rebuilt, he blinded them with science, took legal action and the result was a brand new 2.0
Pinto in a crate landed on his door step. Last time I spoke to him about it it was still there, so here's hoping.
Another friend of a friend might be able to put his hands on a pair of twin 40's that he is willing to part with for nowt, so I've got my fingers
and legs crossed.
But then again life is never that good, is it?

I get my G-plate sierra tommorow at twelve, when my mate clears it out. Its a 2.0 GL and its been sat for a couple of months taking up space in his
garage. As he now need the garage for his new motor, he gave it to me. What a bargin! Also i have just been quoted £50 for all the steel tube for the
chassis. So far a very cheap project...

Jammy Git!
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
