camping gear (for stoneleigh)
ok so I'm thinking ahead, but remembering what I did (or rather didn't have) last year I'm trying to start sorting out some bits and
pieces.
borrowed some lilo's last year but need to get a decent roll matt, anyone used these sell inflating jobbies and found any good prices,
"thermarest" ones seem quite steep, found some under the brand of "stormlite" which are a bit more reasonable but still £35
for a 2" thick one.
robocog had some excellent gel reusable "click" hand warmers which were brilliant but I've not found any cheap online yet after a
bit of googling.
I will have to get a maglite and possibly a fleece liner for my sleeping bag but what else might be worth getting? got tent, sleeping bag, clothes,
boots and some chairs (which last year I bloody forgot!)

That looks pretty equipped to me although I had the benefit of being with a couple of guys with caravan & camper so had gas etc etc
Most important thing for me this year is decent boots. I got fed-up of having wet feet!

I've got a thermarest mat, they're the dogs danglies. We got them from Millets, girlie gets a decent discount there from girl guiding

The "click" handwarmers are available from Tesco for a fiver a pair, dunno what price you've seen them at..

The handwarmers are pretty cheep on Ebay was well. Altho they only last about 1hr There is a version that takes charcoal sticks that last about
8hrs... or for however long you break them into.
Cooking gear.. Lantern.., camping pillow (I always forget that, Without fail!),

hoping the cooking gear will be covered  maglite for a lantern and i can sleep hapiply without a pillow  a nice thermal mug and proper caming
cuttlery/billie/mess tin set might be nice though!

couldn't find them in tesco's, how big a store was it unclefista? my local is a 24hr superstore and there was no sign  ps can't
see them on tesco's online either

How about some ear plugs for when the planes are landing ? Sure at least 2 tried to get into my tent during the night.

NO , Didn't stay the night at Donnington, and Newark was warm. Coventry airport is just up the road from Stoneleigh IIRC

Seconded, got one myself a few years ago, though doesn't work quite so well with hot rock burns in it lol

For chilly nights, I can recommend a divers wooly bear. I had a fleecy one (oooer misus) but then got a thinsulate one. The're also good for
driving on chilly days!

You just need a warm women, she will sort out all the details and make sure you do not get cold !
I,ve never known one to suffer the cold, but then again they have always booked hotels or pubs for the night.

Thermarests are expensive, I have one of the Coleman mats for running... A bit lighter because of the shape and loads cheaper, eg. here:
"GO" Outdoors
Or if you REALLY don't want to spoil the power/weight, try a balloon bed... Although they do tend to
burst. A lot.
