black top fan belt
Anyone know how to run fan belt as water pump is turned by using back of the belt, pictures if poss thanks kev.

A few choices here...
1) Install an idler gear on the exhaust side to enable you to run the pulley on the back of the belt
2) Run the belt round the existing pulley and run the pump the wrong way
3) Machine up an adapter and fit a 1.8 silvertop ribbed pulley and run the pump the wrong way (worked fine for me for ages)
4) Do 3 but also replace the pump for one with a reversed impellor from Quicksilver in the US. This is my current setup.

BTW I think westfield will sell an idler kit now (easiest solution)
